The closer I get to the Grail, the further I have gone from God~

One thing can truly be said above all others, Landry is a man of true righteousness. He will do whatever it takes to return order to the church and disallow those who mean to use the Grail as a weapon now that he knows the truth. Being a just leader of men without the support of the Papacy, Landry showed to be a noble Templar who's loyalties lied with that of the Grail and God in the end. It took Landry some time to realize it but the cup was not simply a holy symbol, it held the power to destroy or unite the world within the right or wrong hands. His sole mission was to protect the secret of the Grail and furthermore his newborn daughter even if it meant being excommunicated by the Templar's for his heresy or worse.
 

Landry's faith and devotion is constantly tested and plagued by his sins. As the Master Templar of Paris he is a man of extreme loyalty to King Philip IV of France, the Papacy and brothers in arms upon first meeting. Landry becomes more and more skeptical to whom he trusts however as the series develops, refusing to blindly follow the orders from said powers at work. The King, Pope and some of his fellow Templar no longer trustworthy for good reason despite his own agenda. Conflicted guilt was not unknown, Landry had betrayed the King's trust by laying with his wife Queen Joan and thus created a constant struggle of lies, trust and deceit in his day to day life. The man is torn by countless inner demons, the pregnancy of Queen Joan baring his child and quest of the Holy Grail causing Landry's devotion to God coming into question on more than one occasion. "The closer I get to the Grail, the further I have gone from God." An admission of his own guilt when questioned about his wavering conviction to the lord almighty.
 

He is headstrong and rash in his decision making, protesting it all being in the name of the Grail if questioned, his devotion to the task coming with great cost of course. His journey was fueled by sacrifice both mentally and physically, the man giving up not only his brother Tancrede for information about the Grail in question but constantly putting his own well being in harms way if it meant getting his hands on the sacred artifact. Once Landry finally held the ancient relic within his grasp, everything changed for the worse. Devotion to the Papacy and Church ended with betrayal, everything Landry had ever known to be a lie after his adopted father Godfrey's killer was revealed to be the Holy Father he worked so hard to find the Grail for. Thus a spiritual journey of redemption began for our would be hero, one of vindication and righteousness.
 

Despite Landry's vows to the church and Templar's alike the man was known to break them quite often for his own personal greed, his sentiment towards those close to him impeding his sense of judgement. Whether it be to find a way for his beloved Joan and unborn daughter to be together forever or letting Gawain live upon finding the Grail instead of killing him. Each had it's own penance and Landry would have to deal with these consequences in turn until the ultimate mistake unfolded before his eyes. Landry watched as his one true love died in his arms, wishing to God there could be a way for them to be together without anymore pain and suffering he turned to the last hope that was the Holy Grail. Without any care or thought of the repercussions for his actions he used the holy relic to try and restore life to that of his dying beloved. Unfortunately the grail did not save Queen Joan's life but that of their infant child, though that seemed to be enough to comfort Landry despite the loss of his one true love.
 

Hand to Hand Combatant - Trained as a warrior monk during his youth, Landry no doubt will be skilled in hand to hand combat when necessary. Though martial arts are unlikely brute strength and smart battle sense will no doubt prevail along with his cultivated experience.
 

Tactician & Leadership - Skilled in the arts of war and strategy, Landry has proven time and again to be a valiant leader who men can rally behind. May he be out numbered or out matched his determination and will always prevails, striking fear into his enemies and courage through his comrades in arms.
